If you wish to cancel your reservation, you must do so up to 3 days prior to arrival, cancellations within the 3 days prior will result in a charge of the first night stay.. Please save the cancellation confirmation number you receive.
Health & Safety Info
Your Safety is our Priority.

We are delighted to be re-opening our doors on Wednesday 15th July. Our Covid-19 response plan has been put in place to ensure the safety and well-being of our guests and staff on our re-opening. The following are some of the processes we have in place to ensure we continue to do our utmost to battle the spread of Covid-19, whilst also ensuring that we in no way compromise our standard of service.

Arrival at Tankardstown House
- Access to the property will be in line with Government advised physical distancing. Check-in procedured will be minimised for your safety and convenience.
- We have increased our cleaning schedules and have heightened our disinfection practices in all areas with special attention to high touch points in line with recommendations from Government and NPHET (National Public Health Emergency Team). We consider our high touch points as our door handles, light switches, Telephones, TV remotes, to name just a few.
- Room keys are regularly disinfected between handling.
- Hand sanitising stations have been set up at all access areas.
- Guests will receive paperless receipts to reduce touch points.
Staff at Tankardstown House
- Staff have undergone and completed Covid-19 safety training
- In addition to hand washing, staff will use hand sensitisation gels regularly.
Accommodation at Tankardstown House
- All linens and towels are laundered to the highest standard in accordance to HSE guidelines.
- All areas of our accommodation are deep cleaned and sanitised by our trained accommodation staff.
- All rooms will be rested between occupancy.
Dining at Tankardstown House and Brabazon Restaurant
- Brabazon Restaurant will implement all the above-mentioned procedures, including increased deep cleaning schedules, hand sanitisation stations and staff training.
- Brabazon Restaurant dining area will be rearranged to adhere to social distancing measures at a reduced capacity.
- Each table setting, including chairs, will be sanitised after each use.
- Guests will be provided with ‘one-use’ recyclable menus.
- Outdoor dining is also available, on Brabazon’s sheltered and heated terrace.
- Other dining options at Tankardstown House include:
  - In Room Dining - Dinner will be freshly prepared at Brabazon Restaurant and contactlessly delivered to your door.
  - Picnic Baskets – Set off to enjoy the freedom and solitude of Tankardstown’s expansive estate of rolling parkland, woodland, and walled gardens with a homemade picnic basket, freshly prepared in-house.

We enjoyed our stay at Tankardstown House very much! It's a lovely place, beautifully decorated, with a wonderful mixture of old world charm and modern day comfort. The house felt like an old friend's residence, rather than a hotel, and the grounds were beautiful. The staff took excellent care to see that we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We especially enjoyed Thomas, the young man from Poland, who served us at dinner and breakfast. He was an impressive server with a charming personality! We happily recommend the house to anyone looking for accomodations in the area and we hope to return again someday!

Everything was excellent. However we were hoping for a relaxing lie in - but we were awoken early by one of the other guests's car alarm, and then an alarm clock going off in a locked room within our cottage.

A wonderfully tranquil hideaway to relax and switch off. Staff are terrific and the accommodation in the cottages was fab! Will definitely recommend and can't wait to come back next time with my dog!
